WE ARE TRIBE NYE FASHION SHOW

WE ARE TRIBE (consisting of myself and Elizabeth Bohannon) were given the opportunity to display our vintage finds and styling skills at The Foundation, a full service architectual resource center specializing in the resue of architectural antiques and salvaged building materials located in the West Bottoms of Kansas City. The perfect spot to celebrate the coming of a most anticipated year, 2012. Alongside a few other local Kansas City designers as well as a WHOOP DEE DOO, a kid-friendly faux public access television show, the evening was full of FUN and an overall success. This being our second fashion show of the year (first, our one year anniversary party in November) Bo and myself are stoked on what we've learned, how we've grown, and hope that 2012 leads us that much more into our vision that is WE ARE TRIBE.

(A BIG thanks to Melissa Birdsong for organizing the event, Patrick Ottesen for providing the space, Erica Voetsch for creating those RAD spiked head pieces/gloves you see in the photos,
and of course all of our lovely models.)

Cheers to progression, community, and collective creativity.

ANNDRA NEEN

Discovered Anndra Neen through stylelikeu who recently interviewed them.
(video below) Not only are Phoebe and Annette Stephens sisters (adorable), their pieces well made and unique, their grandmother (a jeweler as well) sold pieces and was friends with Frida Kahlo! Love it!
Now officially obsessed with these ladies and their magical pieces,
googling like crazy trying to find more information on them!
Determined to own something from their collection one day.

The ladies themselves.
