Felicity Brown

(1:13 to hear a little from Felicity herself)

"British designer Felicity Brown’s inspiration for her Fall/Winter 2011/12 collection came from a lot of research. The watery marks of Marlene Dumas’s paintings and Picasso’s ballet illustrations were initial indicators for the direction and inspiration of her second collection. Picasso’s ballerina’s sparked the ideaof deconstruction, “cutting into a costume”. Mixing these inspirations with those of tribes and their symbolic markings she came up with this Modern Warrioress look.
Before launching her own label in early 2010 Brown had designed for Alberta Ferretti, Loewe, Mulberry and, most recently, Lanvin since graduating from the Royal College of Art."
